Rep. Negrete McLeod Announces Affordable Care Act Online Portal

Today, Rep. Gloria Negrete McLeod (D-Chino) announced a new feature on her website which will enable constituents to better understand and help answer questions regarding the implementation of health care reform through the Affordable Care Act (ACA).

"It is important that constituents and small businesses understand the Affordable Care Act and have any questions regarding the new law answered," said Negrete McLeod. "I encourage constituents to take the time and visit my website to learn more about what the new law means to them."

On March 23, 2010, President Obama signed the Affordable Care Act into law which directed states to create consumer-friendly marketplaces that will enable families and individuals who are uninsured or buy their own coverage to buy quality, affordable coverage. In addition, Small Business Health Option Programs (SHOP) will make the purchase of health insurance affordable and accessible for many small businesses.
